In February, both countries had planned to take bilateral trade to $ 500 billion by 2030 under a long-term goal. However, due to the strict tariff policy of the Trump administration, many points are still pending in the talks. According to recent reports, both sides have agreed on the “Terms of Reference” for the initial phase and positive results are expected within 90 days.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier met the Vance family in France in February. He also gave gifts to JD Vance’s two sons and daughter. After which JD thanked Prime Minister Modi for the gifts given to the children and the positive conversation.
