On their sacred journey to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, eight men from Rajasthan met a tragic fate when their car was struck by an out-of-control bus on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway. The horrific accident occurred when the bus, after suffering a tyre burst, veered off course, crashed into a divider, and collided head-on with the ill-fated vehicle.

The victims, aged between 25 and 50, hailed from Bhilwara district—seven from Badliyaas village and one from Mukundpuriya. All lost their lives instantly. The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Kumar, Suresh Regar, Bablu Mewara, Kishanlal, Ravikant, Babu Regar, Narayan Lal Bairwa, and Pramod Suthar. Meanwhile, four passengers aboard the bus sustained injuries and are receiving medical care.

Authorities swiftly responded, with an FIR registered at Mokhampura police station in Dudu. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma extended his condolences. “The news of this tragic accident is heart-wrenching. Directions have been issued to ensure immediate medical aid for the injured. May Lord Shri Ram grant peace to the departed souls and a speedy recovery to the injured,” he shared on social media.

What was meant to be a spiritual pilgrimage turned into an unimaginable tragedy, leaving behind a grieving community and a stark reminder of life’s unpredictability.
