Delhi’s Pooja Sharma Crowdfunds Farewells for Abandoned Souls Via True Hope Foundation
Pooja has conducted respectful last rites for more than 4,000 souls
What began as a solitary act of compassion has now transformed into a growing nationwide movement. Pooja Sharma, founder of the Bright The Soul Foundation, has dedicated herself to performing the final rites of unclaimed and unidentified bodies—ensuring they receive the dignity and farewell they deserve. With unwavering support from the True Hope Foundation, her mission now reaches new cities, resources, and hearts.
Over the years, Pooja has conducted respectful last rites for more than 4,000 souls—transporting bodies to cremation sites, performing the final rituals, and immersing ashes in the sacred Ganges in Haridwar during Amavasya, a time considered spiritually significant.
Her work, once deeply personal and self-driven, has been amplified through the fundraising support provided by True Hope Foundation. By offering a transparent and reliable platform for donors, True Hope Foundation and the donor helped Pooja raise essential resources and build a sustainable ecosystem around her cause.
Kuldeep Khatri, founder of the organization shared that , “Since founding True Hope Foundation in 2023 from Jodhpur, I’ve been continually moved by the power of people uniting through crowdfunding. Across Rajasthan and other parts of the India we’ve witnessed countless lives transformed be it abandoned animals given a second chance, elderly individuals rediscovering dignity, or families finally finding shelter and food during their darkest days.
We are now focusing on expanding support for healthcare and medical causes, especially for those fighting life threatening illnesses without the means to afford treatment.
No one should ever be left behind due to lack of resources.
