Maha Kumbh

In a vibrant confluence of spirituality and constitutional awareness, the Department of Justice is set to host a landmark event at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on January 24, 2025. This gathering marks the culmination of the year-long “Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman” (HS2) campaign, initiated on January 24, 2024, by the Hon’ble Vice President of India at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.

The HS2 campaign, launched to commemorate India’s 75th year as a Republic and the 75th anniversary of its Constitution, has seen remarkable engagement nationwide. Over 130,000 citizens pledged the Panch Pran on the MyGov platform, demonstrating a collective commitment to nation-building. Law students reached approximately 21,000 beneficiaries through the Gram Vidhi Chetna initiative, conducting legal awareness activities in adopted villages. Additionally, the Nari Bhagidari and Vanchit Varg Samman initiative engaged over 7 million individuals through webinars in partnership with Doordarshan and IGNOU, promoting women’s participation in legal and social matters. The Nav Bharat Nav Sankalp campaign inspired youth involvement through various interactive competitions, fostering a sense of responsibility for a better future.

The forthcoming event at Parmarth Triveni Pushp, Arail Ghat, coincides with the Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings, where millions converge at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. This convergence symbolizes the unity of India’s cultural heritage, spiritual traditions, and constitutional values.

Key highlights of the event include:

  • Release of Achievement Booklet: The Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice will unveil a booklet documenting the HS2 campaign’s journey, encompassing its launch, regional events, competitions, and year-long activities.
  • Launch of the Department of Justice’s 2025 Calendar: The new calendar, reflecting the campaign’s themes and milestones, will be introduced.
  • Premiere of the HS2 Campaign Film: A movie capturing the essence and progression of the HS2 campaign through audio-visual storytelling will be showcased.

The event will be graced by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs. His Holiness Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan, will serve as the Guest of Honor, with Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji, International Director of Parmarth Niketan, as the Esteemed Guest. Also in attendance will be Shri Raj Kumar Goyal, Secretary (Justice), and Niraj Kumar Gayagi, Joint Secretary, Department of Justice.

This event not only celebrates the successful conclusion of the HS2 campaign but also heralds the launch of “Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Swabhiman,” aiming to further embed constitutional awareness and pride among citizens. The synergy of the Maha Kumbh’s spiritual ambiance with the campaign’s objectives underscores a harmonious blend of faith and civic consciousness, paving the way for a more informed and united India.
