CM Bhajanlal Sharma Emphasizes the Promotion of Hindi as a Symbol of National Unity

Joint regional official language conference for the Central West and Northern regions was organized at Jaipur.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Monday emphasized that promoting Hindi is the collective responsibility of the people, as it is not only the country’s official language but also a symbol of cultural heritage and national unity.
Addressing the Regional Official Language Conference
Speaking at the joint regional official language conference for the Central West and Northern regions, organized by the Official Language Department of the Union Home Ministry, Sharma underscored the significance of Hindi in fostering national identity. He stated that making every possible effort to promote Hindi is both a constitutional directive and a national necessity.
According to an official statement, the Chief Minister urged the use of Hindi at every level and in every sector, particularly in the digital space, to ensure its relevance in the modern technological era. He described Hindi as not just a language but a powerful medium of culture, thoughts, and ideas.
Acknowledging Union Home Ministry’s Efforts
Sharma praised the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai, stating that their efforts have strengthened internal security and social harmony in the country. He remarked that their leadership has instilled immense confidence in the nation regarding security matters.
Nityanand Rai Advocates for Hindi as a National Language
Union Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, reiterated the need to promote Hindi while respecting all regional languages of India. He asserted that Hindi plays a pivotal role in national unity, adding that language is not merely a communication tool but the soul of a nation.
Rai highlighted the Central Government’s continuous efforts to enrich and enhance the use of Hindi, stating that public welfare schemes and government programs can only be truly effective if communicated in the people’s language. He noted that significant progress has been made in the past decade to strengthen Hindi’s presence across the country and expand the use of Indian languages.
Recognition for Excellence in Hindi Implementation
During the program, awards were presented to Central Government offices, nationalized banks, public sector undertakings, and Nagar Official Language Implementation Committees from Central, West, and North India for their exemplary use of Hindi in government operations.
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, MP Manju Sharma, and Secretary of the Central Official Language Department Anshuli Arya, among other dignitaries.
With a continued focus on promoting Hindi in governance and daily life, the conference reaffirmed the language’s integral role in India’s national and cultural fabric.
