BSF DIG Ajay Luthra spoke about the role of BSF in the success of Operation Sindoor
BSF DIG Ajay Luthra today spoke to the media in detail about the success of Operation Sindoor and the important role of BSF in Bikaner. He said that the role of BSF in Operation Sindoor has been appreciated by the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Defense Minister and Army Chief of Staff. DIG Luthra said that BSF has always participated actively in every operation. Since the inception of BSF in 1965, this force has been acting as the first front line defense. BSF also played an important role in the 1971 war, 1999 Kargil war and Operation Prakhar. Recently, in Operation Sindoor also, the role of BSF on the western border was special and a significant contribution was made in countering Pakistan.
BSF DIG also expressed concern over drone smuggling from Pakistan. He said that the enemy country has started using high flight drones by increasing the capacity of drones. However, the BSF has been completely successful in stopping this smuggling.
Talking about the increasing heat and heatwave in Rajasthan, he said that Nautapa has started in Bikaner. To protect the BSF jawans from the heatwave, cool rooms, cold drinks, Glucon D, ice packs and other arrangements have been made at the BOP so that the jawans can get relief from the heat.
DIG Luthra also talked about the work done by the BSF under the Vibrant Village Scheme. He said that during Operation Sindoor, the youth of the villages of Vibrant Village played an important role, which proved helpful in strengthening the Indian security system.
