A 5-year-old child fell into a 32-foot deep borewell on Sunday in a farm area of Dag Jhalawar district, leading officials to initiate a rescue effort.

As per police reports, the event took place at approximately 1:15 pm while Prahalad was playing on the field. It is said that he sat on a stone slab close to the borewell and fell into it while his parents were occupied with tasks on the opposite side of the field.

Prahlad is presently trapped at a depth of 32 feet and is unconscious. The teams from NDRF and SDRF are present at the location.

“NDRF and SDRF teams are involved in rescue operations.” “The teams intend to extract the boy with the help of some local equipment,” stated SDM Chhatrapal Choudhary.

As stated by the victim’s father, Kalulal, the borewell was excavated two days prior. The SDM stated that there was no water flowing out of it, so they made the decision to shut it down.

He observed that they were sealing the borewell, making it improbable for the boy to sink any further.

He also mentioned that four JCB machines have been deployed to assist the boy. While a team of medical professionals is also onsite. Oxygen is being delivered to the boy via tubes, stated DSP Jaiprakash Atal.
