Karni Sena Opposes Influencer Apoorva Mukhija, Threatens Action Over Alleged Obscenity

Right-wing group Karni Sena has announced its opposition to social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, widely known as Rebel Kid, following controversy over her alleged inappropriate remarks on ‘India’s Got Latent.’ The group has issued a stern warning against her upcoming video shoot in Udaipur for the proposed IIFA show in Rajasthan, vowing to prevent her arrival and take strict action.

The Karni Sena, infamous for its history of targeting women in public spaces, has declared that individuals who they deem to be “spreading obscenity” will not only face opposition but also physical assault.”Such indecent and uncultured people, who exploit their influence for personal gain and promote vulgarity, will not be tolerated in Mewar. If Apoorva Mukhija arrives at Dabok Airport, she will be boycotted. This is both a request and a final warning to the Tourism Department to prevent her visit before we are forced to take action,” said Rajput Karni Sena’s division head, Dr. Paramveer Singh Dulawat.

Mukhija, along with other influencers, has also been named in a case registered in Kota on February 13. The controversy has led to her removal from the official list of IIFA ambassadors ahead of the 25th edition of the award ceremony, scheduled to take place next month in Jaipur.

Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister, Diya Kumari, confirmed the development in an official statement. “IIFA has informed that social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija has been removed from the list of IIFA ambassadors. She is no longer officially associated with the event,” the statement read.

The video shoot, initially set for February 20 at Udaipur’s City Palace, Amarai Ghat, and Pichola Lake, now faces uncertainty amid the growing backlash. This development follows recent controversies involving influencer Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remarks at comedian Samay Raina’s show, which was also attended by Mukhija.
