Para-Athletes from Bikaner made nation proud at Para Asia Cup

The Indian archery team performed brilliantly in the Para Asia Cup being held in Bangkok (Thailand). Indian archery team coach Anil Joshi told from Bangkok that Dhanaram Godara and Shyam Sundar Swami of Bikaner, Rajasthan brought laurels to the country. Joshi told that Dhanaram Godara won gold medal for India in the recurve team event. Paralympic gold medalist Harvinder Singh performed brilliantly by pairing with Dhanaram. This pair took India to the top position with the dedication and skill of the team.
He told that in the compound team event, Shyam Sundar Swami of Rajasthan along with Paralympic medalist Rakesh Kumar defeated Philippines in the semi-finals and entered the final. The team had to be satisfied with the silver medal by scoring 149 points in the final.
Joshi told that individual ranking: Shyam Sundar Swami remained in second place with 689 points in the compound event, while Dhanaram Godara remained in third place with 634 points in the recurve category.
The individual competitions of both the players will start from Saturday, in which better performance is expected. Rajasthan Archery Association General Secretary Surendra Singh Gurjar sent best wishes to both the players. Indian Archery Team Coach Anil Joshi praised the efforts of the players and said that this victory is the result of hard work and dedication of the players.
