The festival culminated with a breathtaking performance by Kailash Kher and his band, KAILASA
The Jaipur Music Stage 2025, the much-anticipated musical extension of the Jaipur Literature Festival, concluded on a high note after three electrifying evenings at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur. Running from January 30 to February 1, the festival once again proved to be a perfect blend of tradition and contemporary sound, drawing music lovers from across the country.
The event opened with a tribute to two legendary poets of India—Sufi saint Amir Khusrau and mystic poet Kabir Das. Abhijit Pohankar’s Amir Khusrau Project beautifully brought Khusrau’s timeless verses to life through Indian classical fusion, while Dastaan LIVE mesmerized the audience with Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein, a rock-opera interpretation of Kabir’s poetry. Speaking about the performance, Anirban Ghosh, founder of Dastaan LIVE, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share Kabir’s message of love and unity with the Jaipur audience.
The second evening showcased diverse musical styles, beginning with singer-songwriter Kamakshi Khanna, who captivated the audience with her soulful blend of pop, R&B, folk, and soul. Following her, the renowned Susheela Raman took the stage alongside pioneering guitarist Sam Mills, Nagada maestro Nathoo Lal Solanki, and Sufi-folk performer Chugge Khan. Their collaborative performance seamlessly fused Indian classical, world music, and Rajasthani folk traditions, leaving the audience spellbound. The night concluded with Raman’s evocative rendition of Yeh Mera Diwanapan Hai.
The grand finale on the third evening saw an enthusiastic turnout for two spectacular performances. Hrishi, the internet sensation known for his unique fusion of Carnatic and Western pop, set the stage on fire with his magnetic presence and innovative sound. His rapidly growing fan base, with millions of streams and views, reflected the immense popularity of his fresh musical approach.
The festival culminated with a breathtaking performance by legendary singer Kailash Kher and his band, KAILASA. With his powerful voice and soul-stirring fusion of folk, Sufi, and contemporary styles, Kher had the audience swaying to iconic hits like Teri Deewani and Saiyaan. His performance reaffirmed his status as one of India’s most celebrated voices, with a career spanning over 1,500 songs in 25+ languages and more than 2,000 concerts worldwide.
The Jaipur Music Stage 2025 once again proved to be a grand celebration of music, offering a diverse range of performances that resonated with audiences. As the Jaipur Literature Festival continues its final sessions on February 2 and 3, attendees look forward to another year of literary and musical brilliance when the Jaipur Music Stage returns in 2026.
